Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front ® Chairman Farooq Siddiqi has strongly denounced the use of brute force on the innocent, unarmed peaceful protestors at Pinjura Shopian by Police and C.R.P.F which has resulted in to critical injuries to five people besides wounding scores of people “Such use of brutal power to thwart the peaceful protests called by pro-freedom leadership in the aftermath of gruesome and gory Shopian incident in which our two Kashmiri sisters were raped and then murdered is sheer despotism, shameful and condemnable on the part of this stooge government and a big question mark over the claims of democracy, freedom of movement and expression by the government of India and its puppet administration here” Farooq Siddiqi said.

While criticizing the governments move of imposing undue restrictions in valley he said that “Instead of taking stern action against the culprits of this dastardly act so as to salvage the wounded psyche of this already bruised nation of whom they claim to be elected representatives it is ironical that their greed and lust of power has made them morally barren and bankrupt and so schadenfreude to do reverse by using iron fist to deal with the situation. Kashmir has been turned in to a police state where forces barge in to the houses destroy property, beats the innocent inmates, behave uncivilizedly and indecently with women folk. By imposing curfews restrictions, gagging media, and using other cruel and arm twisting methods so as to suppress and muzzle the voice of freedom loving masses of Kashmir these puppets have once gain demonstrated their loyalty to Delhi darbar to which they have sold their consciousness and showed utter disregard and disrespect to the sentiments of their fellow country men” while emphasizing that such kinds of suppression and oppression won’t be able to break the will of resilient Kashmiris and scuttle and stifle the ongoing resistance movement which has been nourished by the precious blood of Kashmiri martyrs.

Farooq Siddiqi has added that he is in constant touch with Amnesty International which according to him will carry out an impartial probe in the Shopian incident as government from the day one has been trying to cover up the crime so as to shield the guilty involved “through Amnesty International real happening and truth will automatically come to fore as people have no trust over the probes and inquiries called by authorities of which the recent example is of Bomai Sopur where the C.R.P.F personnel involved in martyring two innocent youth have been left Scott free that too despite the government promising action against the guilty on the floor of Assembly”.

Terming the arrest of pro-freedom leaders as unwarranted JKLF ® Chairman has strongly condemned the arrest of Muhammad Salim Nanaji, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Syed Ali Geelani, Nayeem Ahmad khan, Mushtaqul Islam, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Masarat Aalam Bhat and others.
