A letter from Neelofer… please take heed

Posted by Kashmir Portal on June 12, 2009

There are many others here whose cases are still “under consideration” there. Please try to get those cases settled faster. Many of you have to erect another storey on your house, some have to buy refrigerators and some need micro ovens. Please try to get this BLOOD MONEY soon to them. How can they live without the amenities that others enjoy? And yes, to that uncle of ours, please tell him, no more hartals please, it badly affects the tourist trade. Tourists feed us, they are the dispensers, the givers, the benefactors not Allah!
I am writing this to convey to you that no small or big action of yours is getting un-noticed or unrecorded here. Your leaders, your investigators, your police, your judiciary; all are under strict scrutiny. If they deviate from the truth even the weight of an atom, horror awaits them. Their sons will disappear and the wives will be widowed. Miserable future awaits such people whose crime will be no less heinous than that of the beasts who preyed on us so ferociously. I have a magical piece of advice for those who are investigating such cases. Recline and meditate for a day. Close your eyes. Imagine sending your daughters to the field. Watch in your live conscience them meeting the same fate as ours. Hear their cries. Recover their bruised bodies from the silent waters. Cover them, their bodies were never exposed before. Now calm down. Investigate!

PAIN INDESCRIBABLE

http://www.greaterk ashmir.com/ today/full_ story.asp? Date=11_6_ 2009&ItemID=35&cat=11

I just can’t narrate the terror we faced, but here I am in absolute calm. Some feelings that I want to share with you from here, Muzaffar Khadim articulates the agony of a bruised soul.

I am writing this from the other world. The pleasant and peaceful world! The beauty that’s abundant here is impossible to be described in words. The reception that we enjoyed on our arrival here was very special. Our predecessors received us so warmly. We were astonished to see the multitudes of brothers and sisters here that have arrived before us; some of them in the same circumstances as ours; others in different situations. We had never imagined that so many people might have been sent here in such circumstances because while in your world, like all others, we were deaf and blind to the realities that we lived in. Yes, we found many others whose mothers are still waiting for them there hoping they would return one day, but they are happily living here with us! More are coming. The seniors here say that the influx to this place is proportionately very high from Kashmir.

Taqdeer kay Qazi ka yeh futwa hai azal say Hai jurm-e-zaeefee ki saza marg-e-mafajat! Nobody has ever written to you from here before. I asked them why? They don’t consider you worthy of any communication from this side of the Kingdom of Allah. We can see you so clearly from here. You are crying, wailing, and sad. That’s what makes me write this to you but my companions here are laughing at me. They say that being a new comer, I have yet to realise that you people are carried away in an emotional fit; but that’s always very short lived and things take a normal shape without learning any lessons in your world sooner than any sane person would imagine. Honestly, I am grieved but not surprised at what you are going through. The Qura’n that you have folded up with great sanctity in silken garments predicts it so precisely: “Those who were left behind
(In the Tabuk expedition) Rejoiced in their sitting back Behind the Messenger Of Allah; they hated to strive
And fight, with their goods And their persons, in the Cause Of Allah: They said, “Go not forth in the heat.”
Say, “The fire of Hell Is fiercer in heat.” If Only they could understand! Let them laugh a little; Much will they weep: A recompense for the (evil) That they do. (Taubah 81-82)

Turning away from the commandments of Allah and His Messenger (SAW) will result in nothing other than innumerable miseries and unparalleled hardships.

Here we have no veils between us and the Truth. Everything is so clear. There is no malice, no back-biting, no mockery, no inhibitions; just peace, simple and pure peace! Looking back at the world where I lived with you, I’ll make you understand the difference by an example. In your mother’s womb, you were dwelling in Amniotic fluid. If one day, you were shown a bucket of that fluid and Placenta and told that this is from which you came, now you will have to go back into it; you will beg, “Oh no, it stinks, it’s dirty, I can’t go back into it. I will suffocate!” The same way if we are offered a return ticket to your world again with a hundred precious gifts, we will beg, “Oh no! Please don’t send us there. That world stinks, it’s dirty. Please let us stay here!” Being here is the true manifestation of the Quranic saying, “Mina-az-zulumati ila-n-Noor” We truly have been taken away from that absolute darkness into this abounding Light!

I am never going to tell you what happened to us that evening. I am not going to tell you how many wolves pounced upon us. I am not going to tell you how our mouths were shut. I am not going to tell you whether both of us were together when we were being prepared to be sent here or we were separated in the first instance. Alas! You could not listen to our cries. In fact, our cries resonated from the Pir Panchal multiplied with the shrieking cries of those who had met the same destiny as ours. You never heard any such ear piercing voices. How could you? You are deafened by humdrum of the world. You are so busy. How could you listen to my cries, busy man?

Thank you for the honour that you have shown to us by setting up a Commission! A Commission of Enquiry! Poor little girls of a village and a Commission being set up. How kind of you! A ritual being solemnised. One more file upon 10,000 previous ones. But this seems a serious business. Everybody is talking about us and about the fate that we met. After everything is investigated thoroughly, another ritual will take place. One lakh rupees each will be sanctioned in favour of the “next of kin” as the cost of our chastity, Asiya’s virginity, our blood and our life. But if you resist a bit more, they may even sanction a job for my infant when he grows to maturity. Till then the rich and famous will feed him. And I know our elders will grease the required palms to get these favours.

There are many others here whose cases are still “under consideration” there. Please try to get those cases settled faster. Many of you have to erect another story on your house, some have to buy refrigerators and some need micro ovens. Please try to get this BLOOD MONEY soon to them. I am sorry this letter could not be as flowery as I would have written in your world. It’s simply because here, Truth is never camouflaged by hypocrisy. Rejoicing in the separation from your world

Yours
Neelofer
