JKLF (R) delegation visits Shopian

Srinagar, June 15: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (R), visited Bongam Shopian to pay homage to the two women including a teenage student who had been raped and then murdered on May 30.
 In a statement, a spokesman of the Front said, “Rasikh Khursheed addressed a large gathering of mourners at Bongam where he demanded stern punishment to the culprits involved in the incident.”
 Hailing the resolve of Shopian residents who despite many hardships have gone for indefinite strike, he said “The general secretary JKLF (R), Muhammad Salim Nanaji had expressed his desire to come here but he was arrested and is incarcerated in Jammu jail”.
 Meanwhile, the JKLF (R) has appealed the people of Kashmir to protest against the detention of Nanaji, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Masarat Aalam Bhat, Nayeem Ahmad Khan and Syeda Asiya Andrabi.
 Meanwhile, Tahir Ahmad Mir has condoled the demise of mother of Bashir Ahmad Tota. He visited the residence of bereaved family and prayed for the peace to the departed soul.
